Due to the unprecedented incarceration of Uyghurs in Nazi-style concentration camps by Chinese authorities, an increasing number of displaced Uyghur orphan children and financially struggling families need humanitarian aid around the world, especially in great numbers within Turkey. Hence we are currently primarily focused on these three programs with our partners in Turkey.

About Uyghurs

An indigenous Turkic people whose homeland sits at the center of the ancient Silk Road.

The Foundation's background page explains that Uyghurs are an ethnically, culturally, and linguistically distinct Turkic people indigenous to East Turkistan, now within the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. It also situates today's crisis within a longer story of cultural exchange, colonization, resistance, and the current genocide against the Uyghur people.

Understanding that history helps explain why humanitarian relief, advocacy, and cultural preservation all matter at the same time.
